Lamar Grant Application Information

When will applications be accepted?
Only during the semester prior to the semester in which you want to study abroad.  Since the
grants will be given on a first-come, first-served basis, it is best to get the application in at the
beginning of that semester.

Where should I send the application?
Lamar University Study Abroad Office, Social and Behavioral Sciences Building, 203M
Or mail to:     Study Abroad Office
                       Lamar University
                       P.O. Box 10653
                       Beaumont, TX  77710
Check whether we have received your application by emailing joanne.lindoerfer@lamar.edu

What signatures do I need to obtain ?
The department chair and dean of the courses you will study abroad. For instance, if you will take a course in English, ask the English department head to sign that course the course will transfer back to Lamar. This is not your major department chair, but the chair of the department in the course you plan to take. The dean and assistant to the vice president for academic affairs also need to sign the Transfer Certification Form.
