Application Procedures
Become familiar with the Global Studies and Study Abroad website; carefully review the information; download the required forms; complete and submit your application package in a timely manner.

- All applications must be received during the semester immediately prior to the semester, mini-session or summer term in which you will study abroad.
For Spring: the preceding Fall
For May mini-session and summer terms: the preceding Spring
For Fall: the preceding Spring
- A complete application package must contain the following materials:
- Global Studies and Study Abroad Application (attach a passport size picture)
- Unofficial Lamar Transcript (showing good standing status and a 2.0 or greater GPA)
- Student Code of Conduct and Responsibilities (must be signed)
- International Education Fee Grant, Assumption of Risk, Release and Waiver of Liability Acceptance Agreement (must be signed by participant and notarized)
- Health Information (must be signed by participant)
- Proof of International Health and Repatriation Insurance Coverage
- Copy of valid passport (6 months expiration date from the date of departure)
Non Lamar University-sponsored Program, please add:
- Transfer Certification Form (signed by appropriate department chair and college dean)
- Course Details(country, university, course description, credit hours, and direct contact hours of instruction)
- Travel Itinerary
You will be notified by email that your application package has been received; however, notification does not mean that your application has been approved. If you do not receive an email response within two weeks of submission, please contact Ms. Norma Zarzosa at nlzarzosa@my.lamar.edu
