Often freshman students can feel overlooked in a new university and tend to be intimidated by programs geared toward upper-class leaders. The Freshman Year Experience is a program that is tailor-made just for you!

This prestigious program is a great opportunity for you to interact with other emerging leaders of the LU community, meet with members of the Lamar University Administration, interact with your personal upper-class Peer Mentor, learn how to get more involved on campus, and prepare yourself for a successful collegiate career. Also included in the program schedule are bi-monthly workshops that address leadership and personal development, semester mixers, field trips, group dinners, and an end-of-year family banquet.
