New Student Orientation welcomes new students to Lamar University. Orientation also provides a time for you to register for your fall classes and begin your college journey. By attending New Student Orientation, you beat the lines and meet with the dean of your college, your academic advisor, and the financial aid office.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to tour the university, get information from student organizations, learn from upper-class LU leaders, and meet other new students just like you! We have programs designed for to meet the needs of freshman students and their family members. Please read the next few pages for information about your orientation program.

Please note that ALL incoming LU students are REQUIRED to attend an orientation session to register for Fall 2009 classes.
