Career Forum

This was one of the most useful event I have attended. More than 15 professionals came from various industries. They gave very descriptive picture of today's IT industry. First of all, each of them described about their career experience, How they started and what are the major break-thru they got. Listening to them was so much inspiring, knowing that they too were like us as a computer science students at one time. From their talk I personally could surmise that to really succeeded, one need to be flexible in learning and adapting new trend in the industry. One should be nimble and active to take up any challenges came in to their path. Some of them also suggested certification courses, which many of the employers look for in the resumes. They emphasized on the learning, especially when we are in the school. After this the forum was open to answer the curious questions from the students. Many students and couple of faculty members asked various questions. The most fascinating part of this session was for one question there were several answers coming from them. Which from one point of view is good cause it let us know the ideas and perspectives of not several individuals but companies they were working for. I really enjoyed this session and was glad that I coordinated the session. I also took feedback from the students and all of the feedbacks conclude that it was truly an interesting and informative session for the students.
