Over the past several years Lamar University has "loaned" it's beautiful campus to the March of Dimes Organization for one day. On this day the March of Dimes Organization holds its annual "Walk America" for Jefferson County. What goes on? FUN and lots of it! Many area businesses set up along side of each other on Cardinal Field for a day of fun and feasting. Entergy, Mobil, Kroger, FedEx, Blue Bell, and many others provide food, fun, and games for those that walk on their teams. The Lamar University faculty, staff, and students have combined efforts
to create a Lamar University Team.
Not even the rain seemed to bother the Staff Senate crew. They were ready to have fun! And after seeing all our fun even traitor Kevin Smith, who was supporting his wife on the LIT team, wanted to be a part of the Lamar University Team.
The 2004 goal to be collected by the Lamar University Team is $7000.00 for the March of Dimes.
The Lamar University Team is requested that you attend this year's
walk with us on Saturday, April 24, 2004. The Lamar University Team walkers were provided only the best cooking around!!

The cooking was performed by Mr. Richard Nero of Sigma Phi Delta with the assistance of Jacqueline Nero, his sister. As always Mr. Nero is dependable and performs his duties with the highest of quality. Jacqueline proved to be a quality team player, falling in and assisting at every chance possible. Everyone agreed that Mr. Nero did a spectacular job cooking and with Jacqueline at his side they are an unbeatable cooking duo! The Cooking Duo resting up!
