4/2007: Dr. James True retires from the department after 10 years of service.

4/2007: Congratulations to Jonathan Vernon.  Jonathan was named the 2006-2007 Dawson Award winner. The award is presented annually to the best graduating political science major.

4/2007: Congratulations to Andrew Blanton.  Andrew received the 2007 Best Undergraduate Paper Award.

5/2006: Dr. Terri Davis received the Liberty Bell Award from the Jefferson County Bar Association.

4/2006: Pi Sigma Alpha received the Honor Student Organization of the Year award.

4/2006: Congratulations to Brandon Kinard. Brandon was named the 2005-2006 Dawson Award winner. The award is presented annually to the best graduating political science major.

1/2006: Congratulations to Doug Dean for winning the Fall 2005 Plummer Award. The award is presented to the man and woman with the highest grade point average in their graduating class.  Doug is the fifth major in the past two years to receive the honor. 

12/2005: The Zeta Lambda chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha received a grant for $700 to assist the Humane Society with pets displaced by hurricanes Rita and Katrina.

8/2005: Congratulations to Amanda Shaw. Amanda was named the 2005 Plummer Award winner. The award is presented to the man and woman with the highest grade point average in their graduating class.

4/2005: Congratulations to Chris Bellamy. Chris received the 2005 Best Undergraduate Paper Award.

5/2004:  Congratulations to James P. Nelson for receiving the Plummer Award.   The Plummer Award is given to the top male and female in each graduation class. James was the third Political Science major to receive the award this academic year.         

12/2003:  Congratulations to Catalina Paz and Luke Ray.  Catalina Paz and Luke Ray received the Plummer Award.  The Plummer Award is given to the top male and female in each graduation class.
