Assistant Professor of Political Science
Thomas Sowers is an Assistant Professor at Lamar
University. Thomas Sowers
attended the University of Akron, from which he received a BA as well as an
MA. Upon graduating from the
University of Akron he enrolled in The Florida State University from which he
received an MS degree and his PhD in 2002. Dr. Sowers’ research interests center on environmental
politics and international conflict, focusing on the many political problems
emerging from environmental problems. It
is hoped that this research will help provide guidance in resolving political
issues that arise from the competition over scarce resources.
