Nurse Apprentice
Dishman Department of Nursing Partners with Baptist Hospital Beaumont for this Event
During each long semester, students enrolled in NURS 1102 Nursing as a Profession (a pre-nursing course) participate in an event called the Nurse Apprentice. Lunch and door prizes are provided by Baptist Hospital Beaumont for all of the attendees
The day benefits the pre nursing students by allowing them to meet current nursing faculty and nursing students. They can ask questions about the program and network with their peers. Fun “nursing type” games are played and participating pre-nursing students compete for tickets. At the end of the event all of the tickets are collected and the Nurse Apprentice is drawn. The winner receives a scholarship from Baptist Hospital and the opportunity to shadow a registered nurse for one day at the hospital.

CBSL Opportunity for current nursing students. Nursing students are needed from 1245 – 1445. If interested there is a sign-up sheet in the CBSL binder located in the learning center.
