- Computer Laboratory

The Computer Lab for
the Mechanical Engineering Department is located in
room 1601 in the Cherry Engineering Building. The lab facility
includes a Dell server, 31 Dell PCs, scanner, and two HP
LaserJet
Network Printers. Mechanical Engineering (ME)
students are given door code access and the lab is
available 24 hours, seven days a week. All of the
computers are connected to the Lamar Academic Domain and
students use their individual Lamar Electronic Account
(LEA) login. The ME computer lab gives students
access to the various engineering software such as
MathCAD, Matlab, ProE, Fluent, Pipe Flow, CES, & ANSYS.
Each workstation also includes Microsoft Office and
internet access. The lab is also equipped with an
overhead projector for presentations and software
