Admission Requirements
Master Degree:
For admission to the program, the student must meet the following requirements:
  1. The general requirements for admission to the College of Graduate Studies.
  2. Hold a bachelor's degree in a field of engineering or related discipline with credit substantially equivalent to that required for bachelor's degrees at Lamar University.
  3. The applicant must have taken GRE.
  4. International students must have a minimum TOEFL score required if their bachelor degree is not completed in the United States.
Doctor Degree:
For admission to the program, the following requirements must be met:
  1. The general requirements of the College of Graduate Studies.
  2. The applicant must hold a Bachelor of Science degree in a field of engineering, and a Master's degree or have completed at least 30 semester hours of course work at the graduate level in a field of engineering or a closely related discipline.
  3. The applicant must have taken GRE.
  4. International students must have a minimum TOEFL score required if their master degree is not completed in the United States.
The above are the minimum admission requirements. Mechanical Engineeing Department may be more selective.
