Welcome to the Center for Research and Doctoral Studies in Educational Leadership at Lamar University-Beaumont. Our doctoral program in educational leadership emphasizes effective schools and diversity.

During the spring, faculty evaluate applications and accept students for classes starting in the fall. If you are interested in becoming an even more effective educational leader tomorrow than you are today, contact us. Johnny Briseno (Cohort 4) new Elementary Principal in Angleton, Texas!

Dr. Sandra Harris co-authors new book, Managing Conflict: 50 Strategies for School Leaders with Drs. Stacey Edmonson (Sam Houston State University) and Julie Combs.

Brenda Emanuel (Cohort 3) has been chosen by Raise Your Hand Texas to represent her district in the RYHT Leadership Program at the Summer Institues, Harvard School of Education!

Jill Portie (Cohort 3) Calcasieu Parish Elementary Principal of the Year. Jill was also named Regional Elementary Principal of the Year!

Dr. Kirk Lewis (Cohort 2) Superintendent of Pasadena Independent School District. Dr. Lewis' district was named National Model School District for 2008 by the International Center for Leadership in Education (ICLE)!

Dwaine Augustine (Cohort 3) appointed as the Assistant Superintendent at Hamshire-Fannett ISD!
