What is the function of Internal Audit?
  • Evaluate the adequacy of the internal control structure.
  • Assesse compliance with written policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate the reliability of accounting and reporting system and proceduress.
  • Verify the existance of assets and ensures proper safeguards for their protection.
  • Investigate reported occurrances of fraud, embezzlement, theft, waste, etc., and recommends controls to to prevent or detect such occurrences.
