Membership
:
A member of Lamar University Student
Chapter of the American Society of Industrial Technology (LU-ASIT) must be a
regularly enrolled student in the Industrial Technology curricular.
All members in good standing (current
dues paid) shall be entitled to all rights and privileges of membership in
LU-ASIT.
A member of LU-ASIT may be male or
female.
A member of LU-ASIT must have a current
and overall GPA of 2.0.
Any member of LU-ASIT
who graduated from
Lamar
University
and is not enrolled in graduate school,
shall be eligible to become an Alumni of LU-ASIT and shall have all the
privileges of a member except voting at meetings and holding office.
Meetings
:
The semester meeting schedule is
available with the industrial engineering secretary at (409) 880-8804.
New officer elections will be held in
November.
A banquet will be held near the end of
each semester (early December and early May) to recognize leadership and
scholarship of LU-ASIT members. Watch for scheduled dates.
Other scheduled meetings will be
announced later.
