Financial Aid at Lamar IE

Assistantships, scholarships, and fellowships are available on a competitive basis. All applicants who apply by our graduate office deadlines are automatically considered for financial aid. A large percentage of our students receive some form of aid.

The department has a number of research assistant, grading, and teaching assistant positions for Doctor of Engineering and Masters of Engineering Science (thesis) students. The department also offers tuition waivers for doctorial students who have TA or RA positions. While all students are considered for these positions, please send a copy of your resume in plain text format to Dr. Weihang Zhu to aid us with the selection process. Only submit your resume after you have submitted your application to the university.  Incoming students and current students are considered for these positions.  Incoming students please include your anticipate start date, GPA (or rank in class), and GRE scores on your resume.

Students pursuing research in all areas of Industrial Engineering (Manufacturing, Operations Research, Engineering Management, and Human Factors, Ergonomics, and Safety) have been supported by the department in the recent past.  See our research report for recent research activities.  All faculty members will have access to the resumes, so no need exists to contact individual faculty members.
