Duties:Lamar University invites applications for either a tenure-track Assistant Professor, or an Associate Professor, in Construction Management. Primary responsibilities include undergraduate teaching, conducting research, and providing service.
Qualifications:The successful candidate is expected to have a Ph.D., and at least one (1) earned degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related degree, preferably in Civil Engineering. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to have effective communication skills and both a desire and an ability to teach in three or more of the following areas: cost estimating, scheduling, materials and methods, mechanical and electrical systems, structures, legal issues, and project management. Skill in mathematical calculations, and computer operations. Ability to direct, counsel, and motivate students. Knowledge of Safety and OSHA Regulations.
