Instructor I, Anatomy & Physiology (#600060) – Allied Health; Full-time; 9 Month Position; Tenure-track; Salary:  Commensurate; Open until filled.

Duties:  Perform classroom and lab instruction for Anatomy and Physiology courses.  Communicate with Department Faculty concerning needs of each program.  Advise and counsel students.  Develop course schedules each semester.  Teach class and lab courses as required within the curriculum.  Participate in appropriate professional and community services associations.  Participate in college and department committees.  Keep abreast of developments within the field.  Update and revise curriculum as necessary.  Demonstrate techniques to students in a laboratory.  Submit required reports as required.  Ability to effectively keep the lines of communication open with Institute Faculty.  Maintain a budget for the Program.  Supervise adjunct faculty that teach within the program.  Select specific text books and teaching material for the course.

Qualifications:  Master’s degree required with a minimum of 18 hours of  graduate level Biology courses.  Prior teaching experience preferred.  Ability to demonstrate and point out specific examples of anatomy within a lab setting.  Be able to communicate effectively and verbally to students.  Official transcripts are required at the time of employment.

 

Instructor I/Program Director, Occupational Health & Safety (#600019) – Health & Safety; Full-time; 9 Month position; Tenure-track; Salary:  Commensurate; Open until filled.

Duties:  Participate in the recruitment of students for the program.  Advise and counsel students.  Develop course schedules for students.  Teach courses as required within the curriculum.  Participate in appropriate professional and community service associations.  Participate in college and department committees.  Keep abreast of developments within the field.  Develop, maintain, and evaluate clinical affiliates.  Update and revise curriculum as necessary.  Demonstrate techniques to students in a laboratory or clinical setting.  Ensure that the Program maintains full accreditation with the appropriate Accreditation bodies.  Submit required reports to the proper Accreditation bodies.  Ability to effectively keep the lines of communication open between The Institute and Clinical Facilities.  Maintain a budget for the Program.  Supervise Program Faculty. 

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree preferred, Associate’s degree required (must have an Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety).  Three (3) years experience in the field of Safety.  Teaching experience preferred.  Certified Safety professional preferred.  Official transcripts are required at the time of employment.
