Terry Lee Rioux’s teaching interests include the U.S. history surveys, Texas history, American cultural history, the American West, and the Progressive Era.  She specializes in writing Texas biographies and Hollywood biographies, publishing G.W. Carroll: The Spirit and Proof of an American Christian (Eakin Press, 2001) and From Sawdust to Stardust: The Biography of DeForest Kelley, Star Trek’s Dr. McCoy (Simon & Schuster, 2005).  She has also published articles in the East Texas Historical Journal and in the Texas Gulf Historical and Biographical Record.
