A Europeanist, Mark A. Mengerink studies German history since 1648, with
particular interests in genocide and the Holocaust. He teaches
courses on Nazi Germany as well as on modern European and Middle Eastern
history. Dr. Mengerink is revising his dissertation, "The
Holocaust's Forgotten Victims?: Jews, Suicide, and Resistance," for
