Judith
W. Linsley teaches the U.S. history surveys and the history of Texas.
Her research interests include African-American history,
nineteenth- and early twentieth-century Texas, and oral history.
She has co-authored the following books: Beaumont: A Chronicle of Promise (Windsor, 1982); The
McFaddin-Ward House (Texas State Historical Association, 1992); and
the prize-winning Giant Under the Hill: A History of the Spindletop Oil Discovery at
Beaumont, Texas, in 1901 (Texas State Historical Association, 2002).
She has also published articles appearing in the Southwestern
Historical Quarterly and in the Texas
Gulf Historical and Biographical Record. |
