Library Services
Mary and John Gray Library -Lamar University students can use to locate electronic books in the online catalog, access indexes and journals electronically, and locate selected information through the Internet.
Tutoring Options
Smarthinking -A free online tutoring service that is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week and is available to all distance education students. Smarthinking delivers both synchronous and asynchronous tutoring. To access Smarthinking use your My Lamar ID as your username and your Lamar student ID number as your password.
Purchasing Textbooks
Lamar University Bookstore -Textbook and course material can be purchased at the Lamar University Bookstore and delivered to your home.
CourseSmart - Offers the option to purchase your textbook as an eTextbook.
Distant Education Student Resources
Services for Student with Disabilities - The office of Services for Students with Disabilities (SFSWD) offers a variety of services designed to assist students with disabilities (SWD) in becoming full-participating members of the university community.
Veterans Affairs - Offers aid to veterans in obtaining their educational benefits.Blackboard Student Resources - Blackboard resources for students.
Lamar University Center for Distance Education - Promotes and supports the Lamar University best practices related to instructional technology, professional development, and distance education.
