Mirabeau Scholarship Application Process

Mirabeau Scholars receive “full” scholarships valued at $60,000 over 4 years.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be an entering College Freshman
- SAT of 1250 or greater (math and critical reading) or ACT of 28 or greater
- Student must demonstrate excellent prior academic work and a variety of leadership, service, and/or creative endeavors.
TO APPLY THE STUDENT MUST SUBMIT:
__ Letter of interest that presents a personal statement on his or her academic goals and intended major
__ A current resume .
__ A copy of the Lamar University application for undergraduate admission which was sent to the Office of Admissions .
__ Three letters of recommendation. (two of which must be from the applicant's current teachers)
__ Each application must also include documentation of SAT or ACT score.
__ A copy of the student's current high school transcript with class rank. (SAT or ACT scores are usually printed on the high school transcript, please make sure your latest test scores are included)

Applications for the Mirabeau Scholars Program should be made no later than Jan, 15 th.
**To remain in the program, Scholars must maintain a minimum yearly grade-point average of at least 3.5, full-time enrollment, and active participation in academic, extracurricular, and service endeavors.
