Lamar University and the faculty in the College of Education and Human Development are committed to ensuring student success in meeting all requirements for receiving teaching certification in the State of Texas. Lamar University reserves the right to modify degree requirements and teaching certificate requirements in keeping with legislative acts and rules established by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and the State Board for Educator Certification, and Lamar University that may mandate additional requirements for students, even though a certification plans or deficiency plans may need updating periodically to comply with new requirements. Adherence to all policies and procedures is the responsibility of the student.
