Educator Certificates To Be Discontinued

NOTE: Many of the certificates being "discontinued" are being offered as "new" certificates, with minor changes. Please explore the link called, "New Educator Certificates" to view which certificates will 'replace' these.

The certification of career educators is in a transitional phase in Texas.
Some certificates are not available unless they can be completed as stipulated.
The programs listed below must be completed by the date shown unless:
1) the appropriate state-required test (ExCET) has been successfully passed
before that date and 2) all required courses can be completed within a year of that date.
These certificates being phased out are being replaced by new certificates, also listed below.
