Starting or Completing your degree is easier than you think

First:: Contact the Adult Studies Coordinator

Then: Have your transcriptrs (if needed) sent to Lamar University for evaluation. Once evaluated you will be referred to the college of your choice (i.e. Education, Engineering, Science, etc.) for counseling..

And finally: Start your classes in person or online and complete all requirements for your degree plan and get that diploma you've always wanted.

Choose from a number of available options to start or complete a degree.

The Bachelor of Applied Arts & Sciences (BAAS) degree is directed toward ADULT students:

Who bypassed college to go directly into the workforce
Who obtained a two-year technical degree and now want or need a bachelor’s degree
Who want to earn academic credit hours for their prior work or military experience.

Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology (BSIT) degree will enhance your skills in management and prepare graduates to work effectively in the engineer-technologist team. ALL courses are offered after 4:00 p.m. over each two-year cycle. The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology (BSIT) degree is designed for students who:

Have graduated from an accredited college or university with a two-year associate degree
Have earned a one year certificate from an accredited college
Enter through the core engineering program at Lamar University with a 2.0 GPA, or
Have completed a minimum of 40 semester hours of technical, engineering, science, or mathematics courses.

The Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business (BBA-GB) provides students an opportunity to study the fundamentals of a business enterprise.

The program allows students to take courses in General Business only or to concentrate their coursework in one of the following areas:

Advertising Communication
Entrepreneurship
Industrial Engineering
Retail Merchandising.

Location: The Adult Studies Coordinator office is at the Downtown Library in Beaumont, TX at 801 Pearl St. located at the bottom of the stairs coming from inside the library.. The office is open from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday. Closed on weekends and national holidays.
