Advising Center

Mission

The Center for College Readiness (CCR) is committed to the objectives and aspirations of the university as a whole.  Our mission is to develop in each learner the skills and attitudes necessary for the attainment of an academic career that will enhance their lives.  Toward this end, we have assembled and prioritized goals in the advising process of our program that will significantly impact student success and retention.

The CCR Advising Center is a multifaceted unit responsible for implementing and monitoring the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) laws and Individual Approval (IA) programs.  Since we are the primary department responsible for enforcement of the state law and conditionally enrolled students, the entire campus depends on our services and timely upkeep of student records.  Not only that, but CCR functions as a hub of information and services for the wider community extending beyond our walls.
