Julie Parker received her Master’s of Fine Arts in dance from the University of California, Irvine. Her thesis work, under the mentorship of renowned choreographer Donald McKayle, researched religious political themes in choreography. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance, Cum Laude, from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City.

Julie's choreography has been presented in New York, Maryland, Vermont, California and Hawaii, and was selected for presentation at the Artscape arts festival in Baltimore, Maryland, and the Laguna Dance Festival in Laguna Beach, California. Julie has performed Off-Broadway and in several dance companies, including The Collective, Carroll County Ballet, Kauai Dance Theatre and Ann Doss Repertory Dancers.

Julie has over ten years of experience in dance education and has taught in public and private schools as well as studios and universities. Her research has been presented at the Hawaii International Conference on Arts and the Humanities.
