KIDWRITES

The KIDWRITES program sends Lamar Theatre students to local elementary schools to teach 45-minute playwriting lessons. The children are then encouraged to write their own 10-minute play and submit it for possible performance at Lamar University. Over the past 9 years, more than 100 plays written by Southeast Texas children have been performed.
