"The Showcase of Southeast Texas"
The LU Marching Band, also known as "The Showcase of Southeast Texas," performs at all home football games and select away games.
The band utilizes military, corps and show styles.
Any student with musical experience is welcome to be part of the marching band.

Frequently Asked Questions
When will the marching band rehearse?
The marching band will rehearse Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:20-1:35, and also on Tuesday evenings from 6-8 p.m.
Do you have to audition to be in the marching band?
No. Anyone with previous experience is welcome to be part of the Showcase of Southeast Texas.
What style of marching will the LU marching band use?
We will march military, corps, and show styles. We will teach all fundamentals required.
Will the marching band use colorguard?
Yes. We will also utilize rifles and sabres.
Will the marching band use twirlers?
Yes. They will be featured in the military section of the show and will be considered members of the colorguard.
Are there any scholarships for people who want to be in the LU marching band?
Yes. All students who complete a semester of marching band will receive a scholarship.
When will the LU marching band begin rehearsal?
We will begin marching rehearsals a week before classes start.
Will the LU marching band travel to perform at football games?
We will perform at all home games and one away game.
