Whether majoring in music or simply continuing your performance and/or ensemble experience, Lamar offers expert and energetic instruction in all areas of string playing by a faculty of outstanding reputation and by devoted attention to each student. String activities include applied lessons on violin, viola, cello and bass, and performance in the Chamber Music Ensemble. Scholarships are available to music majors and non majors based on ability and financial need. Stipends may include partial and full tuition and additional awards covering fees and living expenses. Out-of-state fee waivers may also be available.
