Dr. Yearwood earned a B.A. and M.A. from Tulane University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. He joined the Lamar faculty in 2002.Dr. Yearwood combines 14 years of experience in journalism as a reporter and publisher with 18 years of academic experience teaching in both colleges and high schools. He teaches classes in journalism, advertising, and desktop publishing.
