Blackboard
Blackboard is an integrated set of web-based tools for course management and delivery. It was built by educators at the University of British Columbia as a tool to allow other educators to build sophisticated web-based learning environments without a lot of time, resources or technical expertise. And to allow any student who knows how to navigate the WWW to be able to participate in an online class. It may be used both in a distance learning setting (completely web-based) and as a supplement to lecture-based courses.

  • Going to my.lamar.edu
  • Click under "How do I get a username and password?" (left side of screen)
  • Follow the instructions presented to you

Your Blackboard Password
Your Blackboard password will be your student ID number.

You will not be able to login to your course until it has been activated for the semester that you are taking it. This is usually first class day.
