Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences: BAAS
The Bachelor of Applied Arts & Sciences (BAAS) degree is directed toward ADULT students:
- Who bypassed college to go directly into the workforce
- Who obtained a two-year technical degree and now want or need a bachelor’s degree
- Who desire to petition for academic credit hours based on learning they gained through their work/life experiences
Students must have ONE of the following in order to qualify for entrance into the degree:
- Five years of Full-time work experience
- Sixty hours of college credit
- Three or more years of military service (student can be an active or retired service-member)
In order to obtain a BAAS degree students must complete the following:
- Core Curriculum (48 hours)
- Advanced courses at the junior and senior levels (36 hours, 18 of which must be earned at Lamar)
- Lower-level Electives (36 hours)
- 120 hours toward the degree
