  • What to Bring on Test Day

    You will need two forms of ID.

    • Personal identification. You must show two forms of ID to be admitted to the testing room; primary and secondary.

      Your primary ID must be government-issued and include your name, signature, and a recognizable photograph. Acceptable forms of primary ID include:

      • Current driver's license
      • State or federal ID card
      • Current passport
      • Military ID with photo and signature
      • Tribal ID
      • Naturalization card or certificate of citizenship

      Acceptable forms of secondary ID include:

      • Employee photo ID
      • College ID
      • Credit card
      • Social Security card
      • Military ID with signature only
      • Unused ID from the primary choices above

     

    You will need your $29 non-cash payment. You may pay with debit card, credit card, check or money order (made payable to Evaluation Systems).

    Also, you will need to bring an approved calculator. Please see below for requirements.

  • What Kind of Calculators are Allowed?

    You may bring a four-function (+,−, ×, ÷), nonprogrammable calculator (with square root [√] and percent [%] keys); calculators will not be supplied at the test center.

  • Scores

    Your official score report will be sent 7-10 days from date of completion.

  • When Can I Retake Quick THEA?

    Students taking a QUICK THEA must wait 30 days before attempting to retake the QUICK THEA test at this or any other college/university. Students who retest before the 30-day limit will have their scores canceled and their money will not be refunded.

  • Testing Accommodations

    To request testing accommodations for the Quick THEA because of a disability, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Amendment Act of 2009, you must:

    • Turn in a written request for accommodation(s) at least 4 weeks prior to the test date to the Career & Testing Center (Galloway Building 102) at the time you sign up to take the Quick THEA.
    • Make an appointment with the Director of SFSWD at least FOUR WEEKS PRIOR to the test date to submit a copy of the accommodation request along with documentation of the disability (880-8347 or SFSWD@lamar.edu). See documentation guidelines at http://dept.lamar.edu/sfswd. The SFSWD Director will review the document to determine if there are appropriate testing accommodations to be assigned based on how one’s testing abilities are affected as indicated in the submitted document. The LU Career & Testing Center and the person requesting accommodations will be notified of any assigned testing accommodations prior to the test date. No accommodations will be granted without documentation of disability being on file with the office of SFSWD.

    Possible testing accommodations that must be requested at least four weeks prior to the test date are:

    • Extended time (up to 8 hours)
    • Permission to: Bring snacks into the room, Eat lunch in the testing room (up to 8 hours), Take frequent breaks
    • Interpreter during testing instruction for deaf/hard of hearing
    • Reader AND/OR Scribe
    • Seating in the front of the room (for hard of hearing)
    • Seating in the back of the room OR by window (for natural light)
    • Separate room or small group seating
    • Use of colored overlays OR highlighter
