IX. HEALTH PROFESSIONS EVALUATIONS
The evaluation submitted on your behalf by the Preprofessional Advisory Committee is an important part of your application. You should make every attempt to get to know the committee members. The evaluation letter is prepared by the committee chairman and is based on information provided by the individual committee members. This information is obtained from interactions in the classroom/laboratories and from individual interviews between the applicant and each committee member. The interviews usually occur during May through August of the year the application to professional school is made. If the courses required by the professional school have not been taken at Lamar, the Preprofessional Advisory Committee may elect not to write a recommendation.
