Alfred Cervantes

Native Houstonian Alfred Cervantes is the deputy director o fthe Houston Film Commission. Cervantes has participated in the Spindletop Film Festival since its inception in 2000.has worked in many capacities in film for the past 9 years. In addition to numerous low-budget films, he has worked on projects such as Reality Bites, Jason's Lyric, Powder and Apollo 13. Some of the more recent films he has assisted or scouted for are Arlington Road, Space Cowboys and Pearl Harbor. His duty with the film commission is to promote the greater Houston area to filmmakers, scout locations, and facilitate any production's filming experience while in Houston.

"It has been a wonderful experience being a part of the Spindletop Film Festival from the beginning. In two short years it has developed into a quaint, quality weekend of meeting established filmmakers from Los Angeles and Texas. Participants can really be a part of this festival."
