Requirements

All first-time-in-college students meeting the following academic qualifications are eligible to apply. To be considered for a scholarship, students must have achieved SAT scores (math and critical reading) of 1250 or greater or a composite ACT score of at least 28, and have demonstrated excellence in prior academic work. In addition, documented excellence in a variety of leadership, service, and/or creative endeavors is expected.

To remain in the program, Scholars must maintain a minimum yearly grade-point average of at least 3.5, full-time enrollment, and active participation in academic, extracurricular, and service endeavors. Mirabeau Scholars who remain in and complete the program are guaranteed admission into any of Lamar University’s master’s degree programs for which their undergraduate degrees qualify them.
