Introduction

Lamar University is pleased to present the Mirabeau Scholars program for students with exceptionally strong academic records. Only a limited number of these outstanding four-year, full scholarships are available. The scholarships are awarded each fall to first-time-in-college freshmen (dual-enrollment, CLEP, and/or AP credits are not disqualifying).

High school teachers, counselors and administrators are encouraged to nominate qualifed students to be considered for this prestigious award. Students themselves may also apply.

Mirabeau Scholars receive “full” scholarships consisting of tuition, fees, on-campus room, board and book stipend.

Mirabeau Scholarships carry a value of $60,000 per each four-year commitment.
