Lamar University: Scholarships Information: Scholarship Details

Milton Bell/Babe Didrikson Zaharias Scholarship in Women's Athletics

Major/Degree Required: Recipient must be majoring in an academic area leading to a bachelor's degree and must be a participant in the women's athletic program

Overall/Major GPA Required: Minimum 2.5 for continuing students

Class Level Requirements: Freshman level or above; recipients may remain on the scholarship up to five years as long as they continue to meet the criteria stated in the agreement

Class Load Requirements: Full-time student; minimum 24 semester hours per year

SAT/ACT Score Requirements: Minimum 850 SAT or ACT equivalent for entering freshmen

Other Requirements: Preference shall be given to Southeast Texas residents. If the women's athletic program is discontinued at Lamar University, then this scholarship will become a general academic scholarship conforming to the university guidelines.

Endowed athletic scholarships are awarded to student-athletes who have signed a Grant-In-Aid to compete on a varsity athletics team for Lamar University. Students who are being recruited should discuss scholarship opportunities with the sports head coach.
