Other Requirements: The intent of "Presidential Scholarships" is to provide a significant financial award to incoming freshmen who have just graduated from high school. Recipients must be persons of high moral character and considered good citizens by their high school and university administrators. Presidential scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis with considerable emphasis placed on extracurricular activities and outstanding academic achievement based on the following criteria: a) Class ranking and GPA; b) SAT test scores; c) High school transcripts and d) Academic awards and honors.
