Guidelines for Writing Reviews

Our Subscribers:

Many of our subscribers are libraries interested in materials for general readers and students. If a book is suitable for a young reader, please mention this in your review. To better serve our subscribers, please indicate which books you think are worth buying and which are not.

 

Format for Reviews

   > Reviews should be 200-250 words.

 

  > Please use left justification only.

 

  > Create a brief title for your review.

 

  > Use the following information for the bibliographic citation:

   Author. Title (italicized). City of publication: Publisher, Date of Publication. Pagination. Any features such as      Bibliography, Illustrations, Index. Price paper or cloth. ISBN. LC number.

   Example: Benner, J. A. Uncle Comanche. Fort Worth: Texas Christian University Press, 1996. 169 pp. Illustrations. $12.95 paper. ISBN 0-87565-152-6. 95-36530.

 

 
   
   
   

 

  > Please return reviews within four to six weeks. If possible, turn in a hard copy of the review as well as a copy on disk. You may also email your reviews to the following address:

  > On a separate sheet, include a brief biography (two or three sentences) in which you outline your qualifications to review (education, profession, hobbies, etc.).
